The Poodle Club of America Foundation

What is the Foundation?

The Poodle Club of America Foundation is a non-profit, charitable corporation formed to provide financial and other support for individuals and organizations focusing their charitable, educational, and research efforts on dogs in general, and the Poodle in particular.

Established in 1989, the purpose of the Foundation is to create knowledge through original research; to preserve the knowledge of the past by collecting and organizing the information that already exists; and to disseminate this knowledge to the vast spectrum of Poodle enthusiasts. Seminars are being presented and video tapes of the presentations are available to anyone interested in them

Dedication to the Future of the Poodle

The Poodle Club of America Foundation has dedicated itself to the future of the Poodle. Its goals are:

  1. To foster and promote the public's knowledge of dogs in general and the Poodle in particular.
  2. To further understanding of the diseases, genetic anomalies and injuries which affect these dogs.
  3. To support and promote study of the character, history, genetics, breeding, and related characteristics which establish the Poodle as a distinct breed of dog.
  4. To establish a library of educational and resource materials on the Poodle.
  5. To develop and make available information about the proper care, treatment, breeding, health, development, and training of Poodles.

The Poodle Club of America Foundation was formed with the purpose of giving something back to this breed that has given us so much. In order to achieve these goals, the Foundation plans to contribute in such areas as educational programs, veterinary and general research.
